"It's been 30 years now, dear Göpel people, who would have thought this.

I look back with pleasure to 27 years in which I was able to accompany the development and success of our company. It was my best time. Nothing succeeded by chance. Everything reached is the result of courage, commitment and diligent work of the entire team.

From the very beginning, we relied on our innovative strength to create solutions in the high tech sector. Many "out there" recognized this and were willing to pay our salaries. It fills me with joy and satisfaction that the course we have taken will be maintained even after my departure.

I wish you all continued success and - especially important today - good health!

"May everyone just once briefly remember what he did exactly 30 years ago? I myself remember this day very well: Holger, Thomas and I (for the sake of historical correctness, it should be mentioned that there was a fourth person in the group at that time) were sitting in front of the bulky, swanky desk of a law firm in Jena, full of energy, but also with a certain tingling in our stomachs, in order to tackle the formalities necessary for founding a company. Back then, we didn't dare look ahead for 30 years.

Today, I sometimes reflect what had been the decisive factors for the success of our company? Whatever you might regard as a milestone in our development – and there have been plenty of them in thirty years - I come to the conclusion that, on the one hand, it was entrepreneurial courage to face up to the challenges of the market, to recognize opportunities and to break new ground. But what is the use of courage only if there were no committed employees who mastered these demanding tasks with enthusiasm and professional competence? In the 25 years that I have been able to accompany our company on its way, I have felt every day the joint forward momentum, the togetherness that results from pursuing common goals. I am convinced that this spirit that prevails in our company has always been, is actually and will continue to be a significant factor in our success and I wish that this spirit will always remain with us.

However, a company would be nothing without its customers. For me, customers are partners who entrust us with the solution of a task or a problem. For this trust we have to be grateful and should justify this. My experience tells me without exception that our best references were created where solutions were created and tasks were mastered in close cooperation with our customers. Therefore, our thirtieth anniversary is also an occasion for me to express my gratitude to our loyal customers who have accompanied our company along the way and thus contributed significantly to our success.

So: enjoy the moment, look with pride at what we have achieved and go into the next 30 years with the same enthusiasm!"
