Boundary Scan and Automotive Test Solutions at embedded world 2024

FlashFOX, SCANFLEX Board Grabber and Video Dragon

GÖPEL electronic will be presenting new and enhanced possibilities for the test and programming of electronic assemblies using JTAG/Boundary Scan at embedded world in Nuremberg from April 9th – 11th, 2024. In addition, versatile technologies for functional test and diagnostics of automotive ECUs will be on display.

At booth 4-320 at embedded world, visitors can see the FlashFOX production in-system programmer for microcontrollers, flash components, and PLD/FPGAs. FlashFOX offers unique scalability. Cascading allows the number of programming channels required to be extended to program several components on one DUT or several DUTs in parallel. FlashFOX also enables signal delay compensation between programmer and target. Despite long distances and high frequencies, this ensures maximum performance at the target and high signal noise immunity. Another innovation is the integration of an SVF player. For the first time, this supports simultaneous programming and test in a single step - an ideal solution for the initialization of secured on-board programming.

For prototype testing and targeted debugging in the early phase of the electronics value chain, GÖPEL electronic also offers versatile technologies and tools that make it easier for design and test engineers to commission new designs. SCANFLEX Board Grabber, which can also be seen in Nuremberg, was developed to support prototype verification and programming in the laboratory or at repair stations. It is ideal for use in the laboratory environment in combination with the latest version of SYSTEM CASCONTM and its proven features such as Pin Toggler or UUT Access.

For interested visitors from the automotive sector, we will be presenting the combination of the user-friendly application software Dragon Suite and the versatile hardware interface Video Dragon. This powerful and modular solution for the test of camera and display-based driver assistance systems (ADAS) can be observed in live demos. The tool suite includes support for current transmission standards such as GMSL, FPD-Link and APIX, as well as the various sideband protocols used.

Another strong duo is available for the generation of complex, heterogeneous Residual-Bus simulations based on AUTOSAR data definitions: the Net2Run tool chain with its configurator optimally supports the user in selecting the signals and PDUs required for the Residual-Bus simulation on state-of-the-art vehicle buses. The configured simulation runs directly on  Series 62 multibus controllers.
