Emulation technology VarioTAP available for two more Texas Instruments processors
Processor emulation for STM32H743 and TMS320F28335 controller
GÖPEL electronic extends the processor emulation technology VarioTAP to further processors from Texas Instruments. The VarioTAP model libraries allow a complete fusion of Boundary Scan Test and JTAG emulation. The processor is controlled via the native debug port. Based on this, users can perform hardware design validation and prototype tests without firmware. In addition, the procedure also offers the use of dynamic tests as well as accelerated in-system programming of Flash.
VarioTAP is now available for the STM32H743 controller of the STM32H7 family and for the TMS320F28335 controller of the C2000 family. The derivatives are partly equipped with several different cores. Via the JTAG interface the internal peripherals can be addressed, GPIOs can be controlled and own IPs can be loaded.
After selecting the controller model, the connected hardware units can be tested and validated, flash memory can be programmed. External RAM connection tests are also available on request.
