Award-winning Test Instruments from the Cloud: Embedded Award for ChipVORX Synthetic Instruments
GOEPEL electronic wins award for outstanding innovation in embedded technologies
Configuring a test design for FPGAs easily and without developer knowledge - this convinced the jury of the embedded award 2019. With ChipVORX SI (Synthetic Instruments) GOEPEL electronic won for the second time after 2016 in the category "Tools" in occasion of the embedded world.
The award was handed over by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the Jury and the Advisory Board of embedded world, and Dr. Roland Fleck, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse. For the first time, the most innovative products in the field of embedded technologies were awarded in five instead of three categories: Hardware, software, tools, embedded vision and start-ups. GOEPEL electronic prevailed against STMicro-electronics and NXP Semiconductors.
ChipVORX SI simplifies the testing of FPGA-equipped PCBs (Field Programmable Gate Array) in electronics manufacturing. The user can adapt his universal test design to the board via a web tool. No hardware development knowledge is required as the user only has to configure the instruments. ChipVORX SI increases the test coverage on the DUT, since areas can be tested that are inaccessible with a classic JTAG/Boundary Scan system. Dynamic errors can also be detected, since the tests (e.g. DDR4 RAM tests) are executed at functional speed. In addition to increased test coverage, this also improves test throughput in production.
