Test option for Marvell Automotive Ethernet Switches
VarioTAP model for 88Qxxxx family from Marvell
The software option VarioTAP is extended to the 88Qxxxx family from Marvell. This gives the user access to the internal registers of the controller, expands functional test options and allows programming of external flash devices if required.
GÖPEL electronic's VarioTAP technology allows the use of different functions of the controller's modules. This enables the controller itself to be used as a test and programming instrument. After selecting the model, the internal registers can be addressed and the connected hardware units can be tested and validated. A possible application is, for example, the control of the FUSE bits. In addition, external flash memory can be programmed on request.
The newly developed VarioTAP model extends support to the 88Qxxxx family with the 88Q50xx devices from Marvell. They all belong to Marvell's ARM-based Ethernet switches for the automotive sector.
