Powerful automotive test solutions at the German trade fair

GÖPEL electronic is one of the leading innovation and development partners for the automotive industry

At this year's Automotive Testing Expo, we presented a wide range of powerful, intelligent automotive test technologies at booth 1364. The focus is on our infotainment and network test systems, which demonstrate our many years of expertise in setting up server-based test infrastructures for automotive applications.

A new addition is the Series 62 multibus communication controllers for testing and flashing complex control units and for residual bus simulation. These are now also equipped with Automotive Ethernet 10BASE-T1S. The 62 series meets all the requirements of modern tests, including those for control units, and supports bus interfaces such as CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, and Automotive Ethernet 100/1000Base-T1.

The innovative CARoLINE advanced acoustic tester will be unveiled for the first time. It ensures the assembly quality of mechatronic vehicle components with regard to noise. The new CARoLINE series uses parallel sound measurements as an EoL tester to check the quality of the assembly. CARoLINE consists of sensors (e.g., structure-borne sound sensors or microphones), modules for data acquisition, and evaluation software. With the help of integrated statistical analyses and the evaluation of acoustic parameters, manufacturing and assembly processes can be optimized.

Our new server-based infotainment test systems for complex control and display components offer a powerful hardware and software architecture that allows the system to be flexibly adapted to the test object right from the start of planning, while also providing sufficient resources for future device generations. The newly developed server-based API provides the necessary performance and freedom to extend commands and implement functions that may be required later. All applications, from instrument clusters to HMIs, can thus be covered.

The simple and quick-to-configure battery test bench for automotive high-voltage batteries, also being presented for the first time at the trade fair, ensures maximum quality and security. The system has a power range of 1 to 500 kW and offers test voltages of up to 1200 V DC and currents of up to 800 A DC. Insulation tests can be performed with up to 7 kV. The test solution is also designed to be highly energy-efficient thanks to its ability to feed energy back into the grid or other batteries. Preconfigured test routines minimize the setup effort for the systems, allowing automated tests to be performed quickly and with a high level of test depth.
