GÖPEL electronic with its inline X-ray systems has been listed as a strategic supplier for a leading German automotive supplier. The so-called AXI systems (Automated X-ray Inspection) are used for the quality assurance of complex electrical assemblies, which are installed in large numbers in modern vehicles.
"The listing as a supplier is a great success for us and the confirmation that our own high quality standards are well received by our customers", says Alice Göpel, Managing Director of GÖPEL electronic. "The benchmark process was challenging. Our systems have met the high demands and specific needs. Thus we were able to meet all customer requirements. This positive result paves the way for further global growth with our high-quality X-ray systems".
In benchmarks, automotive suppliers assess potential providers and resources that can be used in global production facilities. Inline X-ray systems enable in-depth optical inspection of solder joints on electrical assemblies and printed circuit boards that are difficult or even impossible to see. This 100% in-line inspection ensures the quality of electronic components, guaranteeing their service life and preventing failures in the field. This safety aspect is particularly important in the automotive industry.
