Danfoss optimizes product quality with AOI from GÖPEL electronic
Higher test coverage and simplified system integration thanks to a uniform system environment
To standardize and optimize the quality of its production, Danfoss relies on inspection from a single source: The Danish multinational corporation now uses AOI systems from GÖPEL electronic across its SMD and THT production lines. This decision brings numerous advantages – from higher test coverage to simplified system integration. Standardization also ensures high repeatability of inspections, consistent results, and efficient failure detection.
During the selection process, Danfoss tested various inspection systems under real production conditions. Not only was the detection quality of the AOI systems tested, but the suppliers were also integrated into Danfoss' specific test strategy. In the end, GÖPEL's systems met the essential requirements:
- high repeatability of tests to ensure consistent quality
- maximum failure detection to avoid costly rework
- seamless integration into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- future-proof technology to ensure long-term investment security
The ability to adapt hardware and software to individual production requirements was a particularly important advantage for Danfoss. This ensured that the AOI systems would not cause any bottlenecks in production.
