Automotive Test, Embedded Test and Programming at the embedded world 2020

New SYSTEM CASCON Version, ADAS components testing and automotive communication in focus of interest

GÖPEL electronic will of course be present when developers and decision makers meet at the embedded world show in Nuremberg from February 25 to 27. You will find us in hall 4, booth 271.

One of the most important innovations is the new version 4.7 of the Embedded JTAG Solutions software SYSTEM CASCON. The new Test Coverage Analyzer (TCA) provides improved information about which nets and pins of the embedded electronics are sufficiently and insufficiently tested. It offers an optimal approach for analyzing the test coverage of the DUT. It can be used to effectively detect problem areas (e.g. due to insufficient tests) or possible time savings (e.g. due to too many tests). Another new tool of the software is the Visual Project Explorer (ViPX). The viewer with a new user interface presents complex board and test information in a simple and clear way. The user can analyze networks in detail and interact with all elements. Only the information that is really needed will be displayed. In addition, the new Emulation Based Interconnection Test now makes it possible to perform automatic connection tests despite non-boundary-scan capable pins. In conjunction with the TCA, this allows even greater test coverage to be achieved.

Automotive electronics developers will find numerous tools at the GÖPEL electronic booth for residual bus simulation as well as for testing complex automotive control units. The communication controllers of the Series 62 are among them. The architecture offers the user up to 16 independent bus interfaces for CAN, CAN-FD, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet and LIN. This results in numerous configuration and thus application possibilities for an optimal adaptation to the UUT or the test task.
In the field of infotainment testing, the 6222 Video Dragon presents itself as a frame generator and frame grabber, enabling the acquisition and output of video data in one device. It is used for recording, processing and exact playback of large amounts of data via FPD-Link II/III, GMSL2 and APIX2/3 in development, production and quality assurance of camera systems and ADAS components.
