A typical application for Multi Line is the automated optical inspection (AOI) of SMD assemblies. Compared to other inspection systems, Multi Line offers a decisive advantage: thanks to the use of double-sided inspection, SMD assemblies can be completely inspected in one pass by the AOI system after they have been fully assembled without having to turn them over. Both sides are inspected at the same time, resulting in a significant testing time reduction during the manufacturing process.
