Sleep more soundly thanks to inline X-ray inspection
In the production of assembled boards, a distinction is made between visible and non-visible solder joints. The latter are concealed under the component housing and cannot be inspected using conventional AOI systems. But beware! If hidden solder joints are not inspected, this is all too often accompanied by poor inspection coverage. This is where inline X-ray inspection helps to increase inspection coverage.
Our webinar sheds light on why IPC-compliant X-ray inspection is necessary to check hidden solder joints in order to increase inspection coverage. We use examples to show the potential and limitations of defect detection and look at AXI system integration in production. The following questions will be answered:
- How much inspection coverage do you lose without X-ray inspection?
- Which typical failures can be detected?
