| The functional test system for car seats checks airbags, seat belt buckle, seat occupancy recognition, motion modes, heating etc. Additionally, communication with the memory box, engine test as well as control of digital outputs for execution of screw operations and much more are carried out. The system’s principle is a PC-based functional tester with a USB system bus for external components. The PC includes all important components to implement requirements to the system. |
The system’s measurement technology is based on a data acquisition module that implements all principle requirements for testing. The second important internal component is a CAN communication card, which is necessary if fully electric seats are equipped with control units and controllable via the communication bus only. The third crucial elements are the serial interfaces. They enable the connection to internal and external devices. They system features a test sequencer software, which enables simple program generation and parameter administration.
