During the production of electronic assemblies it is necessary to check the manufactured products’ quality. Normally, this is executed after several steps in the board production. One step is the final assembly of complex PCBs where multiple electronic and mechanical components „meet“ for the first time. At this point faults can appear which influence the functionality of the products.

For example: Wrong electronic components get into the case or electronic components may be destroyed during the final assembly. Because these and other possible faults must be recognized, a functional test of the manufactured products is executed at the end of the production process. This is naturally a very important part of the quality assurance.

GOEPEL electronic has been developing and producing functional testers designed particularly for the needs of a German company. The products to be tested are digital and analog assemblies. Several functional test systems of the models KFT and TESSY-KFT have been developed for the incurred test tasks.

• Integration of a calibrator to create analog voltages between –10V ... +10V and currents between –100mA ... +100mA
