basicCAR and USB 3080 can be used to provide multiple communication interfaces in the Automotive arena. The outstanding feature of these controller modules is its capability to combine different communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, K-line, J1850 as well as digital and analogue I/O) on the same card.

Both modules are built modularly and provide up to two CAN interfaces, two serial interfaces (configurable as K-line or LIN interface) as well as an interface for the J1850 communication protocol. Transport protocols, diagnostic and various intelligent additional options (everything executed on-board) are available similarly to the CAN bus controller PXI/PCI 3052 and basicCAN or the LIN bus controller PXI/PCI 3072 respectively basicLIN. The transceivers on the board are also arranged as SIMM modules. basicCAR and USB 3080 are unique products worldwide.
